Our Commitment to Safeguarding

At BIG DADDY'S CARE LIMITED, the health, safety, and well-being of every child is our paramount concern. We listen to our pupils and take seriously what they tell us. Our aim is that children will enjoy their time at our nursery and feel safe, secure, and respected.

Key Principles

• ✓ Child Centered: The welfare of the child is always paramount. All children have the right to be protected from harm.
• ✓ Equality: All children, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation, have a right to equal protection from all types of harm or abuse.
• ✓ Partnership: Working in partnership with children, their parents, carers, and other agencies is essential in promoting young people's welfare.

Safer Recruitment

We operate robust safer recruitment procedures. All staff, volunteers, and regular visitors are subject to strict vetting checks, including enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, employment history checks, and professional references before they are permitted to work with children.

Staff Training

All staff receive comprehensive safeguarding and child protection training upon induction, which is updated regularly. They are trained to identify signs of abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and are fully aware of the procedures to follow if they have a concern.

Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)

We have a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and a Deputy DSL who are responsible for overseeing child protection matters. They are the first point of contact for any concerns raised by staff, parents, or children.

Site Security

Our premises are highly secure to ensure children are kept safe. Access is strictly controlled, and we have clear policies regarding the collection of children, ensuring they are only released to authorized individuals.
